Mind the Rap Volumes 1 and 2 Peak at #1 on Amazon

The Rap & Hip-Hop chart on Amazon.com was briefly dominated by both volumes.

The Mind the Rap Volume 1 compilation release quickly rocketed up the Amazon.com Rap & Hip-Hop chart. By August it had climbed into #1 chart position and held the position for several weeks.

Mind the Rap Volume 2 debuted in July as well. For several weeks, each album occupied the #1 and #2 chart positions at the same time. In late August, Volume 2 finally overtook Volume 1 and claimed the #1 spot.

Both volumes still continue to chart in the top 50 with Volume 2 currently in at #18 (as of September 25).

“This is quite an accomplishment for our label. We’ve never experienced so much positive attention for a compilation release. It’s a significant move forward for Illect Recordings and has exposed the label to a broad array of consumers,” states label manager Josh Niemyjski.
