New Year Resolutions and Goals for 2011

We got some of our artists and staff together to share our goals and resolutions for the new year.

David Kelly (Caramel Skillington)
My resolution is to be able to look back from 12-31-11 and be amazed at all I accomplished in the past year. No more would’ve, could’ve, or should’ve for me.

DJ Aslan
My New Years Resolution is to keep my wife at home with our babies….. and make some music.

DJ Because
Stop putting God into the sensible box I have made for him and learn to follow him through the chaos, because it is the chaos he has made for me.

Jaq (Scribbling Idiots)
I really would like to finish my album “Escape From Radio Prison” and have it released. Also I hope to continue working on “Psalm 2” with JustMe. Those are my major goals. And getting a job, haha!

Jon (co-founder of Illect Recordings)
Last year I consciously accomplished one of my goals for the year. One goal I have is to be more aware of my goals throughout the year, at least. I’ll look into tracking to them if I get past that one audacious goal.

Josh (co-founder of Illect Recordings)
Serve God in all things. Like a broken record… I aim to do a better job at keeping up with everything. Haha. I plan to do that by not taking on more than I can handle and to work smarter. The last few months have been full of adjustments and growth. A bit painful but necessary.

MotionPlus (Scribbling Idiots)
I’m looking forward to being renewed and living in God’s will. I love a new year, it’s a chance to put the mistakes of last year (which were alot) behind you. I’m going to stop letting the pain of my past control the future I find myself in.

My resolution for 2011 is definately to become more knowledgeable of God’s word and to study and get closer to him.

Sintax vows to produce more rap news than CNN, FoxNews, and MSNBC combined in the One-One!

Sivion
My resolution is to better align my vacation time with the weeks my kids are out of school, so we can have more relaxing, fun-time together as a family.

Despite how much weight i seem to need to lose, or the desire to travel and tour, or see and experience life, I always find knowing and understanding God’s Love and purpose in my life are at the top of the list.  Here’s to the blessing that another year has brought, and to the possibilities that lie in wait of the one to come.
